Onboarding checklist for new users

A step-by-step checklist to help you successfully familiarize yourself with InnoGPT in the first 30 minutes and get to know the most important functions.

1. Personalize InnoGPT

To help the AI provide you with better results, you should tell it who you are. Go to your settings and enter the most important information about your role, your responsibilities, and your department under "Memories."

Also connect tools you use frequently in your daily work, such as Outlook or OneDrive.

2. Get familiar with the interface

Take 5 minutes to get your bearings. Click through the various Main areas in the left navigation bar.

3. Write your first prompt

The fastest way to get to know InnoGPT is to use it directly. Start a new chat and give the AI a simple task.

  • Example prompt: Create an outline for a presentation on the topic of 'Efficient Time Management'.

4. Upload a file and chat with it

Test InnoGPT’s ability to work with your documents. Upload a file from your computer, such as a PDF report or a Word document. Then select the file in the chat and ask a specific question about its content.

  • Example prompt after upload: "Summarize the three most important key points from the document in German for me."

5. Test the finished assistants

You don’t have to come up with every prompt yourself. Go to the “Assistenten” section and see which predefined assistants are already available for your workspace. Try out an assistant relevant to your department right away to get a feel for the possibilities.

6. Know where to find help

You’re not alone. Take a look at this Help Center to find answers to common questions. Also, find out who the official AI champions are in your company—they’re your first point of contact for specific questions and support.
